The church always talks about money. Why?

We know there is a bad perception of churches requesting money. People only have so many resources and want to use their financial gifts to bring joy and real transformation in the world, which is what we commit to do. Churches require finances to operate, and we consider your donation a true gift whereby transformation of the community is made possible. 

Our Commitment to Transparency 

Our commitment to each person who gives money to the church is to be transparent with our finances. At any point in time, we can share with you where funds have been applied and also what the outcome of the ministry was. 

Generosity is a value we strive for

The biblical standard of giving is a 10% of income, which is called a tithe. Tithe in Hebrew means tenth. There are numerous places we see giving in the Bible. In Deuteronomy 14:22 we read, " You must reserve a tenth part of whatever your fields produce each year. " (CEB Translation) While many of us are removed from agriculture work, with pay being the crops of the field, we interpret this to mean our earned wages in whatever career path we have. 

We know not each person can commit to a full tithe, but we do ask that each person would sacrificially give to the ministries of the church. 

We commit to Generosity as well!

 While we ask people to be generous with their own giving, we commit to be generous with ours. Each month, 10% of the funds given towards our monthly operating cost will be donated to local groups/ people in our community who are in need. This will keep us outward focused on the community as a whole, but also create a standard that setting aside earnings to give back to the work of God in the community is a priority.
