HOW WE STARTED:
In 2022, an established United Methodist Church decided to become a Legacy church, leaving its resources (financial and physical) for a new church, who would reach new people in Anna, Texas. The Gathering is the new church. We are forever grateful for the saints who came before, planting seeds of faith in people for over 100 years.
Who is Welcome?
We believe that The Church is open to all people. Yes, that means ALL! We find beauty in the diversity and inclusivity of all people,
And we really mean it!
Whoever you are and whatever you believe, you have a community with us!

Our Covenant Churches
Support for a New Church
Each church starts differently. A majority of churches in the U.S. have a sending church who supports the new church operations with people and finances. The expense for this type of commitment can be overwhelming and impractical.
Instead, we work with many churches as covenant churches. They are committed to support us through prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness-however uniquely defined by each congregation.
The commitment and financial support are much more practical, and we have a diverse pull of expertise to depend on.
